I am an Australian teacher with a background in both school teaching (English and History) as well as ESL teaching to all ages. I have been living in Singapore for over 10 years and have over 10 years of experience as a teacher. Since 2016, I have been operating freelance under my own company, Adelong Education and Training.
I work with a wide range of clients including multinational companies seeking training for staff, private adults wishing to brush up their skills and children. Learning sessions take place in a location of the client's choice or in the Adelong teaching space (near Chinatown MRT).
Every client I work with has unique needs and individual strengths. As a teacher, I try to understand each client's goals and to harness their pre-existing strengths to guide them closer to where they would like to be. While this means that the work I do with clients is heavily individualised, the core principles of my approach remain: respect, engagement, challenge and growth.
