~~Tutor Profile~~
I am an ex-Raffles Junior College and Raffles Institution student who was in the Integrated Programme (IP). I recently graduated in 2020, achieving straight As in all subjects (90RP), as well as a merit in H3 Economics (Game Theory). I am a Singaporean Chinese 19yo male currently serving National Service, hence I am only available on weekday evenings (past 6 pm) for tutoring services.
I have consistently scored As in Physics, Chemistry, Mathematics, and Economics in my JC years. Likewise in secondary school, I consistently attained a GPA of 4.0 out of 4.0 in Mathematics and Sciences and was often in the top 10% in my school. I am thus confident in my content knowledge and answering techniques, especially in Economics, Math and Science, and hence will be able to pass down my expertise to students.
I have also achieved multiple awards throughout my schooling years for academic excellence and character, such as the prestigious Singapore Police Force Book Prize, MOE Pre-University Scholarship and EAGLES 2018 and 2020.
I volunteered as a tutor during my secondary and JC years, tutoring at Yio Chu Kang CC and New Town Primary School, and I also served as a Volunteer Instructor who guides and mentors my juniors in my CCA (Red Cross). Hence, I consider myself experienced in tutoring and mentoring primary and secondary school students. I also tutored peers during JC and helped my peers to improve their grades in school exams. I am currently tutoring 2 primary school students.
~~What I can offer~~
✅ I can relate and understand from a student’s perspective. It‘s usually the minute basic foundational links that students tend to misunderstand which can lead to huge confusions when tackling advanced problems later which have steps that require those links. I identify and address those gaps by tailoring my lessons to tackle those confusions accordingly.
✅ I have my own tips and tricks that I have developed throughout my years of education which can help solve problems effectively and efficiently for every question type which will ensure that the students are well-prepared and will not make the mistakes I have made before.
✅ I am willing to teach students of all academic backgrounds, from those who are struggling with the basics to those that need an extra push to reach an A grade.
✅ I can offer RI notes as well as my own personal notes and content for students, which are highly coveted among most JC students. These notes provide excellent content and summarise keywords and techniques concisely.

I believe in teaching students to be critical thinkers and not just blindly prepare solely for the sake of exams. I aim to teach students to adopt the right mindset and thinking approach when faced with all sorts of questions, allowing students to face unexpected challenges in exams easily.
