Ethan Leo Teo Teaching Coding

Hi! I am currently pursuing a Diploma in Applied AI and Analytics at Singapore Polytechnic, and I am also undertaking an internship at Mercedes-Benz Singapore, where I gain exposure to data, technology and analytical work in a professional environment.

Through my studies and projects, I have gained experience with programming, data analytics and using technology to solve problems. I understand that coding can be challenging for beginners, especially when learning programming logic, understanding errors and figuring out how to approach a problem. This is why I believe it is important to build a strong foundation rather than simply memorising code.

My teaching approach focuses on breaking complicated concepts into smaller, more manageable steps. I aim to explain the reasoning behind each concept, provide practical examples and guide students through practice questions so that they can gradually develop their confidence. I also encourage students to ask questions freely, make mistakes and learn from them in a comfortable and supportive environment.

I understand that every student learns at a different pace, so I would adapt my explanations and exercises according to the student's existing knowledge and learning needs. Whether a student is struggling to understand basic programming concepts or needs additional guidance with problem-solving, I hope to make learning coding less intimidating and more approachable.

My goal is to help students strengthen their understanding of coding fundamentals, improve their problem-solving skills and become more independent when working on programming questions. I hope to create a positive learning experience where students feel comfortable asking for help and can see their progress over time.
