I am currently finishing the final semester of my degree in Chemical Engineering at The University of Melbourne, digitally due to COVID. I am an experienced private tutor who has taught English, Physics and Chemistry at a lower and upper secondary level. In addition, I have also had the pleasure of being part of the In2Science program, teaching underprivileged students across Melbourne Year 7 to 9 Science, where I won an In2Science Mentor Award in 2019. I also hold a Diploma in Chemical Engineering from Temasek Polytechnic.
I have experience working with teenagers from disadvantaged backgrounds in Melbourne, as well as tutoring secondary school students in Singapore in both Express and Normal Academic.
I am offering my services as a Physics, Chemistry, and English Private Tutor. I teach predominantly in English and can converse in Chinese. I charge $35 per hour. I would prefer to only teach 1 subject per session.
I am a keen and avid learner who believes in showing that science is a fun and exciting subject despite the regimented syllabus locally. All students have the potential to excel and being a part of someone's educational journey is why I love being a tutor.
