Hi! I am a trained Special Needs Educator with extensive experience working with children aged 2-14 with various learning, behavioural and/or developmental needs. I have provided group and individual interventions/sessions to children with/without additional needs in various settings, including mainstream primary schools, VWOs and private centres. On top of being the teacher-in-charge of the school’s dyslexia remediation programme in one of my previous roles, I have also further obtained a high distinction in a Certificate in Dyslexia and Literacy Teaching.
I strongly believe that every child can learn at their own pace. I believe in tailoring sessions to meet their specific needs while making learning fun and holistic. I also ensure support for them is reinforced through close partnership with parents and caregivers.
My sessions are mostly experiential and activity-based, complemented with play and multi-sensorial activities to stimulate learning and development in So. Many. Areas. All these are done while being grounded on evidence-based practices. The approach may vary based on child’s needs / profile / cognitive and adaptive levels as there’s no one size fits all.
